Welcome Screens

Hey All,

With MobiMb you can put a new welcome screen on your phone, mine being a 7210. But what dimensions r the welcome screens? Are they the same dimensions as a wallpaper. And how if i dont like the new welcome screen can i put the old one back? Can i copy it to my comp first?

Looky here it's the same dimension as a wallpaper...and if you don't like it and want the old one back (nokia) you push file->set default

I haven't tried that yet, as i don't have a data cable, but... is it possible to use a animated GIF as such a welcome screen?
Reason for my question: The 7250 shows the "shaking hands" welcome screen nicely animated, where on a 6610 it is static.
Any idea/test results?

Well i just tried it on my 7210, i tried to upload a gif as a start up screen and it just showed the first frame. I dunno about the 7250. But also even when u upload a start up screen, it only stays there once and then when u switch it off and on again it is gone, u just get a "?". Is there anyway of making them "stick" same with operator logos.

Ok well i just figured that one out myself, i had been uploading to the received file and not just into images. So now they stick. But still cant upload a gif to play. Needs to be triggered somehow.
