sim rejected in 3410, can you please help?

3410 Phone & card were working fine, then "friend" had phone and entered the wrong PIN several times and now all the phone says is "SIM rejected". Have tried entering my PUK code before inserting SIM again but still get "SIM rejected" message.

Have searched site and do not understand much of it - for instance I do not know whether my phone needs unlocking, and if it does then being a dct3 phone apparently you cannot unlock with a code.

Any help would be appreciated.

You're stuffed! Your "Friend" has entered the pin wrong three times, which in turn has brought up the PUK code! He has then entered that incorrectly ten times, blocking the simcard indefinately! You have to call your provider to get a new one!:( ;)
