3510i ringtones

Can anyone tell me if there is a maximum file size for a midi file polyphonic ringtone. I am downloading them no problem to my 3510i, but when i go to open them on the phone it says unable to open file. I get this on most files over 10k. Any files under 10k work ok. Or could it be a problem with the midi file itself? I have plenty of memory available on the phone.

I also found the same sort of thing with my 3510i. It does depend on the MIDI File, the number of tracks/instruments seems to be limited to 4.

I use Oxygen Phone Manager, but it cannot put the files in with the pre-loaded ones so I cannot assign them. They go into "Gallery"
But I downloaded RingTone Manager and that will add them to the Tones File.
