EYE Converter problem

I have a problem with EYE Converter for ETI Camcorder. I install it exactly as it says in the readme file and also I check that the codec is actually installed from the Device manager... and still I can't play the converted files. I just hear the sound and no video. I try with ReapPlayer, Media Player, Divx Player, Quick time... nothing... All of them said that the codec is missing...

Any ideas?

send me your files, .eye and .ear or at least a copy, and i will convert them for you and/or test to see if mine works

Where did you download your copy of EyeCon ?
Please report the exact name of the codec EyeCon had installed on your computer.

At first I download it from jesal_apps then I download it from ETI Camcorders official site where the converter is free. With both versions I had the same problem. From jesal was version 1.0 tze from ETI's site was version 1.01.

The drivers are NuB2 For Windows Codec install Version 1.0.0.1

P.S. Murda_INC thank you very much for your offer but I want to fix my PC so I can convert them anytime I want and not just this one time... Thanx anyway :)

And that´s the problem !

The converted .avi files tell your media player to use this codec :

NuB For Windows Codec V1.0.0.1

So I guess you are using the non-beta version of ETI Camcorder Pro.
Please try this :

Download EyeCon New GUI from S60 Island, install it (complete with the codec and the converter itself) and post if you still receive errors.

I download both Eyecon GUI (new and old) from S60 island and still the same problem. First I unistall all old codecs, reboot, Install Eycon new GUI and reboot again and still the same problem. Real player says "Some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format.". Then I try the old also from your site but still the same... I tried .eye files from both the Beta version and the Final version of ETI Camcorder.

Any more ideas :( ?

Could you post a download link to one of your videos ?
So I would test it myself.
And you are using ETI Camcorder Pro V1.0 (non-beta), right ?

I test it on a Windows 2000 box and works fine. Probably the provided codec is not suitable for Windows XP...

I dont think so, as i am using windows xp Pro and it works perfectly fine for me on windows media player

i have the same problem on winxp, also i cant register the Nub inf. Winxp dont accept it.

I think my converter is crazy(last version of eyecon),converts well but when i see the film he appears upside down(if you know what i mean).
The problem is the converter or the newest version of eti camcorder.

I don't know what's wrong with my XP box then Murda_INC.

My old movies, those I record with ETI Camcorder Beta are also upsite down and some colors are wrong when I convert them. I try also the old converter that was supposed to be for Beta version but the same thing. My new movies are converted perfectly.

I think we must send a message to eti for push them to creat a new and good converter,something that should work 100%!

I found out how to convert old movies made with BETA version right...

First unistall both Nub and Nub2 codecs from your PC and then reboot was bot old and new converter, convert the .eye files with the latest codec so actually is not the converter but the codec that ruins the movie.

After reboot, install the Nub codec (not Nub2), the one that comes with the old version of the converter.

Then finally convert your movies...

Both, old and new, converters and codecs work fine on Windows 2000 but still could make it work on XP :(.

Need help I've tried all possible patterns in converting my .eye file have already tested in in multiple computer and still get the same result.. i have downloaded the new version of the ETI camcorder and have installed it the way the beta version I had.. perviously i had no problems with the beta version .. but when i got the new version it seems not to convert any of my .eye file... with the new format you have to get the .eye file and specify a destination directory then convert.. but when i converted the .eye file
it just says " the movie file has been converted successfully" but no .AVI file can be seen converted.. I dont know whats the problem...

I don know if this is the lastest version but I know this is THE version tat works. All you have to do is follow the readme file in the zip file and everything such as color fade and inverted image will dissappear. I have sent the zip file to S60 group. Let mi know if ur group wanna give it a try. It work for mi and the interface is much better than the last. Let mi know.

have tried to use the new EYECON1.1.gui.. still the same happens it says that it is converted but when you try to look for the file no .avi file created... seems that the conversion does'nt work that well

This is the version shared by many other fourms and by far, no one found any problem with it. Maybe u have done it wrongly? Try saving the converted .avi file on ur desktop. Also, u might wanna copy the .eye and .ear files to ur eyecon folder b4 u convert. Hope this help.

Try with this:

1. Unzip all files into C:\EYECON\. If you already have the old EYECON program installed, DO NOT remove it!!! Simply copy over the new files and when prompted to overwrite, click "YES". NOTE: you may experience upside-down videos if you have the old NUB codec installed. Remove it before installing the new EYECON. You can do this via Control Panel's "Add/Remove Program" option.

2. Right-click on the NUB2.INF file and choose "Install" from the popup menu.

3. Go to the "Start" menu and choose "Run". Type the following command:
regsvr32 c:\eyecon\hcnubsrc.ax

I have the same problem that you and doing this now works, I think the key is in the 3 point.
