Data cable software troubleshooting

Can anyone please help me...

I recently aquired a data cable for my nokia 7250. The only software I have been able to find is PC suite 5.1.

This is fine but there is one major flaw...

This program is for a cable with USB cable and mine is a serial cable... the one with 7 holes and two screws to put into the back of your pc.

Has anyone got any ideas?

need to know how I can get my serial nokia 7250 data cable compatible with my pc.

Why don't you buy a USB card or a USB to serial connector for your PC.

You need a pop port data cable to use Nokia PC Suit 5.0, this cable is alot more expensive then a com port 1, so you can either try your luck on a serial > USB adapter OR find Oxygen or MobiMB to use the cable with OR get an IR adapter which cost more then the Com data cable but less then the Pop Port Data cable

well pc suite won't work whether u got usb or serial cable!! u need infra red or the nokia dku cable.. give oxygen phone manager a try
