Just on ur pc suit and go to file transfer. Go to the location where u kept ur files on the top and click ur mmc on the lower part.
Next just click the small blue arrow in the middle to sent. Of couse u need to be connected to your phone first.
I am not sure if this is wat u wat as I don really understand ur question.
Hope this help.
Cheers~ :-P

.3gp file are the better format in my opinion. It really depends on how big the files are. IF it is just a music video, you can easily send it to your phone via bluetooth or infra red (takes a couple of minutes), but if you want to transfer a large movie, then the best thing to do is buy a mmc card reader.I had Terminator 3 and Bad Boys 2 on my phone (at different times - they each took uparound 80mb). I copied it to my mmc in a minute or so. I tried to copy it with bluetooth (for the laugh) and it said 2 hours!

how on earth could I possibly share them? Each come in 2 parts and when converted to .3gp using Nokia Multimedia Converter, they take up 40 mb each.

How much time did it take to convert a whole movie to a 80MB 3gp file?

Not necessarily, but it helps. There's a problem with only using a mmc card reader for copying files across. It is fine if you are copying games and apps. Just copy them (java games included) into a folder on the card and then use a file explorer such as SeleQ or FExplorer to browse to the files and install them. Getting the file explorer onto your phone is the problem. How are you going to install the file? There is a program you can get that the file will automatically install on startup. It's on my group

The file is appinst60.app. Once you have copied it over, you can either insert the memory card again and boot the phone up so it will create the directory. But I just created the folder "pre-loaded". I then created a sub folder called "SYMBIAN". I then turned on my phone and clicked the icon in my menu.
IF you are copying video ar music, then it will need to be converted on your pc first.
For video, you need Helix Producer (download off Kazaa) or Nokia Multimedia Converter (download from www.forum.nokia.com). These will both convert the movie to .3gp format. This will do the same thing for music (it will convert it to .amr), but the sound quality is shite.
You're best off downloading cool edit or sound forge and resampling the song to 16,000, 8 bit and to mono. Then save it as an acm waveform and under options, change the type to GSm 6.10. This will give you a small file and excellent sound quality.
If you use bluetooth, the files will automatically be converted but the copying will take hours.
I have both bluetooth and a mmc card reader and use the mmc card reader more often. Granted bluetooth is useful for installing games and apps if you don't want to have to take your phone apart, but it is faster with mmc card reader. The only other time I use bluetooth is to use a program such as Wireless IRC or Opera to use my pcs internet connection via bluetooth on my phone.
Oh and a full movie take about 20 - 25 mins to convert to .3gp.(for me anyway)

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to convert a .wma video clip to a .rm or .3gp... is this possible. I downloaded and installed the Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0 but I doesn't seem to work for .wma files.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Grease

The appinst60 file is only for users who only have an mmc card reader, and no connection to infra red or bluetooth to get a file explorer accross to their phone. I mean, you use a file explorer to browse to the folder on your mmc, that you copied the games or apps using the card reader. But how do you install the file explorer in the first place? Well you use your mmc card reader to copy the file appinst60 to your phone.
Read my last post again, it's all there.

My aploogies. It seems I didnt explain it fully in my last post. You copy the file appinst60.app to your phone. Follow the instructions in the above post. Then, when you create the folder pre-loaded/SYMBIAN, you copy the file explorer to that folder. Again, my apologies.
And try TMPGenc to convert that file. I'm not sure it will work, but you can give it a try. Just google it and download it.
