Nokia 6610 SCREEN FLICKERING?

umm i have a nokia 6610 and the SCREEN FLICKERS (lines left to right) it doeS it more on a lighter colour than dark. i downloaded snake 2 on my 6610 and u can notice the screen flickering on that!

My software version is v.4.74

Does anyone have the samew problem WITH THEIR 6610 FLICKERING? pls reply to the thread.

Hey mate i too had the same problem but i try to avoid it by adjusting the brightness of the screen and i think i get the problem only when i use when the temp of the mobile phone got too high ... so try to keep ur phone cool

from what i hear all the series 40 phones have the problem of flicker during java games, i seem to have this problem on certain games bounce was a big one constant flicker, but i get a very minimal amount in casino VIP and Pac man, maybe it also has something to do with the size or code, im not sure though.

This might sound silly but my 7210 did this, all i did was give each screw under the front cover about another half turn each and it cured it. Its worth ago!

Figure09 -sorry mate,but I am not sure if you cured your flickering lcd by tightening the screws or by another method.If it was by tightening the screws,and the lcd still flickers slightly, then clean the lcd contact socket with Isopropyl alcohol [available in chemist], as the socket may have carbonised deposits from movement when lcd was floating around.This has been known to make lcd's fail completely, so a little upkeep could prove beneficial.
