Have you used EEPROM Tools v3.1 by BPHREAKS? The IMEI must have been lost during the flash phase, so try using this program, in a case like yours, this program worked 99.99% (not to mention 100) and this program is designed for 51xx/61xx phones.

If you don't have program, it is attached at the end of this post

Do this:

1. Download the program file (attached below)
2. Extract the .zip file attached (all files must be in one directory)
Check if you have these files:
1. Eepromtools3.1.exe
2. Dbox32.dll
3. Run EEPROM Tools by double clicking the program icon
4. At the upper left-side of the program, choose the port where your MBUS cable is connected. (COM1,2,3 to 5)

5. Click the Second button on the lower left (the padlock icon) to restore SP data.

6. Click the third button (eeprom hardware icon) to restore damaged IMEI programming data. (It will restore the IMEI - a huge factor in giving any phones a network signal)

If you want, you can also do it by checking the manual box on the right side of the program, then enter the original IMEI. (But it is recommended that you follow the 1st 3 steps)

Your 5110 phone will definitely have a signal.

Just Incase, (i assume you know how to use noktool by rolis version 1.9, If NOT (Then I will include the procedures). You can use it too (Noktool by ROLIS) to restore the signal to your 5110, but I still stongly recommend EEPROM Tools 3.1 by BPHREAKS (I will attach it also here.)

Procedures:
1. Download Nokia Tools 1.9 by Rolis (attached below)
2. Extract the ZIP file. (1 file)
3. Double Click the Program ICON to run the program
4. Click the lady BUG icon in the toolbar section (to automatically detect your COM port) or you can do it manually by choosing your COM port and clicking the Read menu and clicking the Phone Info.
If the phone is detected you can see it's info on on each of the boxes on the program.

5. Next is click the SFR button [Set to Factory Defaults] - message below the window will be shown if done successfully.
6. Click the SP button [Set SP Locks to Factory Defaults] - message below the window will be shown if doen successfully.
7. Then Lastly, Click the FAID button [Different from Update FAID] - message below the window will be shown if done successfully.
