Need URGENT FuBu Nokia 3395.....

Hi there :)

This is not for me, but for a close friend..... he accidentally screwed a Nokia 3395 by flashing it with wrong software and not backing up first. Now i am in urgent need of a full backup flashfile for this phone model. The 3395 is a GSM-1900 only model.
I did an extensive search, using Google, but it did not find me anything, and here on the forum is a link somewhere to two files, but they are of type "exe" and maybe work with something like Phoenix, which my friend can't use. I need a .fls file which can be used with Rolis or Knok.

Any help (link to such file, version doesn't really matter) or the file itself uploaded, would be highly appreciated!

A FuBu is much more difficult friend, I could give you an MCU_PPM.fls, but that would be it. Sure you need the eeprom?

It's not in the virgineeproms.zip that I've seen around, I don't know where else I could get it.

Is an MCU_PMM.fls any help? or do you really need a Eeprom?

Thank you very much for replying! I could forward the MCU-PPM to my friend and let him try, maybe he can get the phone to work with it........
I can explain the situation, maybe you can figure out what he did:

He is in Vietnam, and he got this 3395 from someone from USA. He wanted then to unlock this phone for use in Vietnam, not knowing it's a GSM-1900 only, which can't be used there anyway. He flashed it, and now it won't turn on, no reaction at all. I guess he flashed it with 3310 or 3330 software (these phones look all same!).

If you could submit me that MCU-PPM file, i would be very thankfull and let him try.... a link to the file would be good too, because i can't mail it to him anyway (can't send attachments greater than 1 MB....) or post it here and i'll mail him the link.

i posted the mcu+ppm there a while ago. i hope it helps your friend out. :)

Thank you very much for this link. I downloaded both parts of the file, and when i double click it, it says "The zip file is invalid or corrupt" with each part of it!
However right-clicking and selecting "extract" does the job, but the new created folder contains two files, one of type fls (should be the flash file) and another of type "SFV". What is that for? It's size is 221 bytes. The fls's size is 2.87 MB - is that correct???
I tried opening it with PPMedit, i could get to see the languages and ringtones, but no bitmaps. I don't want to let my friend use a invalid file - any advise?

Thanh, the files where in RAR format, but you've extracted them now.

Ignore the SFV file, it's a pointless checksum file, I say pointless because RAR has it's own internal checksum...but I suppose a double check is always good :).

The fls...odd size, seems the PMM is too small.

You do realise you can convert an exe file into a FLS file?

The exe extracts to wintesla, which contains MCU and PMM files. These can then be converted to fls ;)

Thanks a lot for the hint, Bob.... i will give that another try when i once get WinTesla to run on any of mine computers...........
However another question - which application can flash a 3395? My friend downloaded that file and wants to try, but he says neither Rolis nor Knok do support a 3395. I have read that Knok should be set to "3330" but what are the adresses for a 3395?? Do you have an idea..?
