Wot OS r u on?

When u 1st plug in da dongle, winblowz shud immed recog n prompt u to install it. Cancel that and start setup.exe from da software u d/l from msi site.

Sumwher in-between da installation, it shud prompt u again to install da new device...say yes n select da auto option.

Reboot n ur done!

Are u doing all of da above?

Try this:

Go to online.communica.se/mpi/filarkiv

1.) Scroll to the bottom and download the file "USB-100.zip"
2.) Just save somewhere you can get to it later.
3.) Now go to the control panel and to add/remove programs.
4.) Select your bluetooth software and uninstall it.
5.) Remove your bluetooth device and unpair the connection in your phone's bluetooth options.
6.) Delete, by hand, the file "btmtmusb.pnf" or "btmtmusb.inf" which you can find in "c:\windows\inf" (W98/WME) or into the folder "c:\winnt\inf" (NT/W2K/XP).
7.) Open the folder USB-100.zip that you downloaded earlier.
8.) Open the file "btwusb.inf" and look for 2 lines that contain "USB_VID_044e&PID_3001". Change these two lines to "USB_VID_03EE&PID_641F"
9.)Save the file.
10.)Insert your bluetooth device.
11.) If the computer does not detect it, go to add new harware in the control panel.
12.) All going well, there should be different drivers for your bluetooth device. Select the "Anycom" one and install it.
13.)Pair your phone and computer.
14.) Tick the bluetooth ports in mRouter (once you know which port it uses, you can untick the other ones)
15.) Open your bluetooth software and when you see your phone, click on it and go to discover services.
16.) Establish a serial port connection with your computer.
17.) If the mRouter icons turns from grey to colored, then it worked. Run Pc Suite.

Note that in future, you only need to right click the bluetooth icon in your system tray and go to quick connect.

Let me know if this works.

it all kind of went pear shape at the btmtmusb.pnf or btmtmusb.inf stage as neither of these files existed, i followed everything else perfect but got haulted at 11, i mite add now instead of windows telling me it has detected a new bluetooth device it tells me it has detected a new composite usb device, i have searched google to find no meaning o wat this means?

This is normal. The computer does not know that you have a bluetooth adapter installed. Only that there is a new USb device connected to the computer. The drivers tell the computer what this usb device is and how to run it. Keep following the steps, and select the new drivers that you downloaded (USB-100.zip) as your usb device.
I don't thnik it matters that either of those files didn't exist. I think they're for certain adapters.
