Nokia Rival?? A600

I realize this is a nokia thread, and page for that matter, but ive been reading bout a badass phone that may very well show up all nokia cell phones to date.

Its called the Samsung A600. Its a flip phone, with a camera that can rotate 180 degrees. It also takes video, with a built in 4x zoom. Colour screen of course. I like this part...the top screen that flips up, the display, its spins completely around, and you can even close the phone when it is reversed. You can then use this as your caller ID screen, as a full screen picture you have taken will come up when a person calls. Not to mention, the phone has completely intagrated voice command. Not like nokia 'dad cell' voice dialing, but when you open the phone you can say 'game, snake' and snake will come up. Also, you can speak a telephone number into the phone and it will dial it, therefor if you dont have someones number programmed in your phone, or your reading a number from a phone book, etc, you just say those 7 digits and it dials them. I am a faithfull nokia fan, but seeing things such as these, half as big as my 3650 with a sleeker design, it even beats the up and coming nokia 6600 (i beleive thats newest nokia camera phone). Tell me nokia isnt falling behind...

I think that you forgot an important difference between sansung and nokia's smartphone...... yes... samsung has a very good bright,sharp and clear display of 65536 colours, is small and 40 tones.... but IT doesn't HAVE MMC support !!!!!!!!!! do you think that is unuseful ???
yes...these nokia phones are a litle bigger but they are smartphone.. not cellphone.... and there is the difference !!!!!!! however I tried a lot of samsung's phone and i can only say that the menus are horrible !!!!!!!

nokia's phone are the best quality/price phone !!!!!! I think so !

I agree, the MMC is the Nokias flagship. But im not sure if tht outweighs the rest of the stuff in the samsung phone, and im sure it wont be long before samsung also does upgradable mmc.

The MMC is not Nokia's flagship,its the OS(Symbian)which makes phones like the 7650,3650,SE P800 smart(smartphones,get it?)Symbian is a robust,fullblown open os,i don't care what features the samsung will have.Any feature that is missing on a smartphone runing Symbian OS can be implemented later on through a third party application,the samsung will be probably running their proprietary OS,which means,it will have no way of implementing missing features.You can only get couple of puny java games,if it supports midp.

If you want a Samsung smartphone,wait for the SGH-D700 runing on Symbian.

The fact that the phone ain't Symbian OS 6 isn't worth it. Then it doesn't support MMC or any other kind of memory. Then, I read in a review somewhere that when taking photos, it has one annoying feature, instead of taking snapshots one after the other, you get to a "Send MMS" screen after taking a photo. That's just plain annoying.

Plus sides, the TFT screen, the camera is said to be the best on the market in terms of quality, not resolution.

I wonder when they'll make use of CCD technology instead of CMOS for the digital cameras in today's phones.... :D

MMC or SD or any kind of memory card feature is not specific just to Symbian OS.Most of the OS's out there support memory cards and even Samsungs proprietary OS can be altered to support memory cards.

2) You can then use this as your caller ID screen, as a full screen picture you have taken will come up when a person calls.
...I can use FSCaller or PhotiID for dat on da 3650.

...Nuevoice does just dat on da 3650.

I think thas just abt covers all dat da new samsung will have but I got dat n much more already on my 3650 :p

WAIT you got the neuVoice appp to work on a 3650? as far as i known and tested that app will only work for 7650. If you indeed have it working would you mind sending me the version you have please.

Here is the phone to beat. It comes out Q3 of this year in Europe. This has the swivel screen, the symbian OS, it has MMC support, a camera you can hide the lens of. 65,000 color screen the same size as the 3650. It also has bluetooth, and USB connectivity. I for one plan to replace my 3650 with this when the time comes. (If there isnt something better by then)
