Sim rejected

I just got my new 7650 through the post today, it was sold as unlocked but apparently not, it's clearly got an Orange logo stamped into the back of it, and when I put my O2 sim in it it says "Sim card rejected".

Does this mean my sim can't be used or just that the phone isn't unlocked yet? If it needs unlocking where's the best place to do that.

Ok sorted it, it was still locked, and it's now unlocked. :)
