Nokia 6100 Latest firmware is 4.70 ?

Hi,

Is the latest firmware for Nokia 6100 v4.70? If so is it possible to download it and install it on my phone ? I have an infra red device on my cpu.. Would I be able to update firmware if I can find the v4.70 ?

AFAIK, 4.70 is the latest for the 6100. However, you won't be able to flash your phone purely by 'uploading' the ROM via infrared... you need special hardware.

you need the data cable (DKU-5) to do any appropriate unlock / flash operation on it... i had the same problem as well (locked phone) but my friend got the cable so i probably could fix it . i'll keep u posted about flashing the firmware if i got it working

Sorry to deceive u all
But u can't flash Nokia fones with a data cable.
U need special hardware, eg Griffin or Paradox Box.
Have it upgraded @ ur local service centre.
