turn off your phone then remove sim.
then push the on button. it should start in flight mode.
flight mode means you can use phone even without the sim, you can browse, listen to music, play games..etc....

i followed the instructions on how to go to flight mode, re: removing sim card after activating flight mode, but when my phone booted up it asks for a sim card.
By the way i have phone secure and extended profiles pro installed on myphone. Is this the software that caused the problem?
thanks
