I really hope that someone out there can help me with this problem.
I have a Nokia 7650, which I am very happy with, and works perfectly (as far as I can tell).
My PC has internal bluetooth onboard the motherboard, which I have the latest drivers for. The bluetooth works perfectly fine, and I can establish serial connections, FTP, MODEM, etc with my 7650 without any bother.
I can use Nokia PC Suite (the latest version) to download/upload images to my 7650, however I want to perform a backup of my phone and have never been able to achieve it.
The PC Suite pops up a little box saying "Closing programs . . .", and then does nothing. The documentation for PC Suite says that it can take some time the first time, but I've left it doing it for 1 hour +, and there has been no change.
There's plenty of free memory, and no applications running that could interfere.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thanks in advance.

all you wanna do is to install file explorer or equivalent, just sent the file you want to backup into your pc....
for ex. contacts.dat, all in your phone books is in contactcs.dat or ini.....
then load it again to your phone when you needed it... infrared or bluetooth is the answer....
do this to other files....

i think theres an error on your pc suit, try to install it again.......

hmm isnt contacts.dat not write protected? If I am not wrong he could maybe not write the contacts.dat back. I am a 3650 user and I cant just copy the contacts.dat back. 7650 same?

I've tried re-installing PC suite repeately, also using the cleanup utility to make sure it's fully removed.
Can you recommend an explorer?

Get FExplorer. Its small, fast n free :p

Try to boot in safe mode and then take a backup.....I think da problem is with ur fone n not pcsuite.
