but I think Secure Digital and the memory card we have is the same thing.
Nokia 3650 has different interface from other devices and that's why it doesn't support SD. Only MMC. Impossible to put SD card into 3650 !!!

jus that the ram have 2 names for it .....
Excuse me Mr.music^2k,
SD card and MMC are two different types of digital memory. However, the slots of the devices that operate with those kinds of memory are completely different. If you want to make a comparison, look at that:

True that. We wanted to be absolutely sure that it wouldnt work. A buddy of mine cut the little plastic piece off his 3650 and jammed in an SD card. (it wasnt a bad idea though because there are electronics that can read both in the same slot)It fit, but did not work, so trust me dont try it.
That's a great pity, but thankyou for posting the information. I wish to buy a 6230 in the new year, and I already own a Kyocera camera with 128mb SD card. Pity I can't use that card for my 6230, but better to know now, rather than later!
I , too, was under the impression that MMC and SD were largely interchangeable. I had though that the only real difference was the write-protection switch that Sandisk designed on the SD card (hence the 'secure' suffix).
Does anyone know where to buy MMC 256 cheaply in the UK? Is there a limit on the size of memory these Nokias can address? Some people claim to be using 512mb, which is awesome if it's correct.
Thanks all. I look forward to your feedback.
Zeus.
