View Full Version : to convert to rm or not to convert to rm?

I have beenr eading everywhere bout converting movies for my 3650 and i ended up using both helix for rm and nokia multimedia converter for 3gp, and im still playing movies to decide which has superior quality, cos the file sizes are pretty much the same, but a really important part came in my debate to know which format to use, how can i watch full screen rm? cos i already know that for full screen 3gp theres pvplayer, could anyone help me out? and i would like what do u think bout 3gp vs rm

RM vs 3GP... It's the same as comparing a GT car with a street car...
With rm you have speed and a stable frame rate. With 3gp you have full screen play, less speed and lower frame rate for bigger files.
Take for example the Matrix Reloaded (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/3650matrix-reloaded_vault) movie wich is in rm format and Swordfish (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/3650swordfishmovie_vault) wich is in 3gp.
After running both movies on my phone, i realised that rm was faster then 3gp, and with the scenes with alot of movement, 3gp loses too many frames while rm keeps the same frame rate.
With rm you can't have yet fullscreen playback, but i prefer that to less frame rate from 3gp...

Go to the 3650 Movie Making Vault and read the tutorials.

Yeah, i compared the same episode of scrubs in both formats and rm is by far superior, but still no rm full screen player? isnt there like an upgrade for my real player or another program able to play full screen rm?

We might get that upgrade that you are talking if we all bug Real to create it... Otherwise, there's no application that runs rm in fullscreen... At leats that i'm aware of...
