hey i know this guy sellind a 8310 he says when he puts a vodafone sim in it it just says please insert sim. what do you think is wrong with it i was thinking it was just locked to another network what do you guys think. thanks in advance.

Sounds more like a damaged SIM card or damaged SIM carrier under the battery?
