hey all,

ive got a new problem. Some guy got his hands on my mobile number, and is sending i would say 100 texts per min from the net to my phone. Ive left it switched off for now, but is there a way to bar texts from the same number? Like completely ban anything coming into my phone from this number as he always uses the same.

Already used SMS Machine, but the number that it comes from contains letters which you cant type into this program. Is there a prog so i can add a contact with letters as the phone number, or an edited version of this prog, or a similar program. Has anyone got any ideas?

(all of the sms messages come from the same number [including letters] )

Please help this is pretty urgent as I cannot use my phone :S

cheers

at the moment I dont know of any software against sms bombing, but until you find a software which fits your needs, I suggest to find a sms bomber and use it yourself.

peace?

God damn that must be annoying. Try blacklist, it works for phone calls but i don't know about text messages, failing that you have 2 options 1. change your phone number or 2. track down the culprit and force feed him his colon.

Just had another though. You could change your message centre number to something wrong, that way you won't be able to send or receive texts but at least you'll be able to use your phone. Could be ok in the short term till either he gets bored or you find another solution.

yeah that sounds like the best thing. Tried blacklist, only works for calls.

And i dno the guys number. lol.

SMS Machine was perfect, but it doesnt let me put letters in the number thing. Can anyone PLEASE edit this or something to allow me 2 put letters in this number field, or are there anything else that i can do?

Mr.magicmarc,

there is no such option with any of the apps that are available out there. Why didn't you try to divert your calls to another SIM and use the same phone ?

use the barring code to block the incoming sms to your phone.

as far as i remember its number 17
you have to know the barring password (call the customer centre of your network)

for example if you want to stop incoming calls you dial:

*33*password# ->SEND

now about sms i think its number 12,but u can try BARRING NUMBERS 10,11,12,16,20

**becareful with barrings, cause numbers 10,11,12,16,20
are also codes for incoming calls, too**

so try:

*33*password*BARRINGNUMBER# ->send (incoming)
*35*pw*BARINGNUMBER# (outgoing)

deactivation:
#33.....
#35.....

or total deactivation
#330*pw#SEND

ok lemme explain.
What it is exactly is this guy goes onto the O2.co.uk website and clicks sign up. He puts in any details, but with my mobile number, and the site wants verification to prove its his mobile (which it isnt) by sending a text message to the number with a verification code. Theres a button on the website to resend the text which he keeps on clicking.

I have tried phoning O2, they were pretty useless, I have a program called SMS Machine, which would be fine but the sender of these texts is "O2-Alert", and I cant enter letters into this program as a correspondant. Complicated huh, lol.

maybe u have already done it,but why dont u go to
o2.co.uk sign in with your mobile number, make an account with
your lonig name, pass and mobile. is there any option to deactivate
the sms receiving after the sign in?
lot of free sms gateways have this feature.

his gf or in the car..
at least if you are not as so voilent as me, you can warn o2
about this,

spaming laws in EE:

(forum in greece)
says that Erki Likanen member of Eur council warns the countries to make laws against spaming untill end of october.

well i've done bit of sms bombing once a while ago, but that was using my 7650 n my messaging was free, all i can suggest is that you fight fire with fire man.. Kick his ass, n make sure he never toys around with you again.. Screw his phone up badly.. I bombed my ex's cellphone so badly that she got really pissed off, broke her sim card into 2 pieces n sent it to me via mail... lol
Cheers
