IR Remote actually learning?

[Strogg]

Is there a program out there that I can actually teach my phone with? It takes way too much time and work to put a cff file into the phone and configure it, if it even exists in the first place. When i mean teach, i mean telling it to do the following: zap the phone with a remote control and say, "this is the power button" or "this is the 2 button" etc. It seems logical and viable, right?
