My mate got his firmware upgraded to 4.46 last week so it must be the latest version in the uk. Asian firmware has a higher number because they must have made more changes to the lauguage pack etc.

It's strange that all the service centres don't have the latest firmware, andy_7650 only lives about 80 miles from me and probably went to next nearest nokia centre (i went to perth, you probably went to glasgow) but we've been given different firmware. That's unfair, mind you i've said it before and i'll say it again, the folk at my local service centre are complete amatuers.

You've got a higher firmware version than 3.12 so you should be fine. It's not so much as how much you have installed but how much space it takes up. It the memory low delete some data warning pops up a few times and you ignore it and keep putting more files on it can crash your 7650 badly. Only on firmware 3.12 and before though so don't worry.

well i think im safe as i have installed a few programs on it but i still have 2mb free and whehn it does go down to memory low i dont bother takin anymore pics or anything thats takes up memory.it is ashame the 7650's dont have a way to upgrade the memory but i spos ill just stick with using space doubler .so im ok

Hrmm anyone in Melbourne? I'm only on 3.16 and i wouldn't mind upgrading the firmware and getting the dust taken out between the screen and lens but i guess you have to pay for it once the phone is out of warrenty.
Anyone know if Vodaphone have the 6600 on contract now? Telscum don't subsidies the 6600 and Optus coverage is crap!

Well I'm sure Vodaphone here has the 6600 on contract as well but I can't be bothered checking it out because they will have some ridiculous price for it.
