mine goes with T-mobile in US, can I ask Nokia to flash the firmware of my 3650, cuz I wanna add Simplified Chinese on it. and is it for free or?
by the way, I should unlock the cellphone before the firmware flashing or after?

some stores charge $25 to do the unclock, but I followed the Nokiafree.org guide and unlocked my friend's successfully, is it the samething? I figured it's really easy, but why they charge that much?

Thank you very much!

No it NOT the same

also you cannot use a cheap DCT-4 flasher because it a WD2 phone.

so you will have to buy a Griffin Box or a Nellix 3 box or etc...

I always unlock the phone after flashing but I don't think it matters.

simply, if I unlock the cellphone by dialing the unlock code, can I use it when I am in China and go with a Chinese telecom Company? or I have to unlock by using hardware device? such as have it unlock in stores?
thanks again!

Once a phone is unlocked it UNLOCKED for life

but you said

cuz I wanna add Simplified Chinese on it

which would require it to be flashed.

oh, sorry, I mean the unlock only, cuz they charge $25 to unlock the phone, and another $35 for flashing, I just wanna know, can I unlock the phone by myself, then have the store flashed the phone for $35, instead of paying $25+$35= uhm... $60, sorry I am slow

@Alinus

whats this pick on chris' posts day ;-)

What I read from the guys question and answer was

Once the phone is unlocked can the networks remotely lock again.

@phishz

Yes you can unlock it yourself and get the store to flash it for you.
