leds flashing to ringtones instructions

Someone private messaged me about doing this so i thourght that i would share how to do it on a 8210 or any phone really. i have a better design that works like the 5210 but i want to get a good set of instructions done first. but here is a really good one that works well. just remember that you should use really bright blue leds for the flashing ones and that the ringtone volume should be on level 5 to get the best results

Thanks m8 for the instructions tried on my 8210 and works well have also placed a nice Picture in the back of my LCD and looks fantastic have also changed to a transparent front face so the lighting efect is realy good.

Is it possible to create running lights from the to of the phone to the bottom some thing like the rope lights you get in clubs just for the sides.

yes it is possible, but you would have to put a programmed pic chip inside the phone to run it. i have just put one inside my 8850 with red/green/blue smd leds on the screen. once wired all up i have made it so every time you push down the power button it cycles on to a different colour. hopefully soon i will be able to write some instructions so everyone can give it a try

I actually did something similar to the buzzer thing ages ago...
When the 3310 first came out before fitting leds on any phone for anyone else i always buy the phone myself to experiment on, ive done this for every model i support as i wouldnt ever open someones phone if i wasnt 100% confident with the phone... anyway as the 3310 takes 1206 size leds, i managed to glue 2 0603 size leds together, Blue and Red...
I connected the blue like normal to the usual pads then connected the red together with enamel coated wire, i connected the red to the buzzer contacts...
It looked pretty cool but it was pretty fiddly to do so i only ever did it once :rolleyes: it looked good though, the phone lights up blue like normal then flashes a kind of purple colour when the phone rings... :)

There is so many this kind of product at china and taiwan, running light, music light, led change color automatically, led slow switch off like 8310 etc etc.

and there are also very cheap...

Ive never seen the running light thing... but the led dimmer thing like on the 8310 has been around for a while :)

The dimmer thing has a video of it working on the darkpower site...
However the buzzer thing always depends on the type of leds and colour of leds you use so its usually always different, its best to just try it... its good to do it on an 8210 with super blue leds with Red in the middle because when you have super blue you on the sides you wont be able to tell that they are missing on the center of the screen...

I loved this Idea, i've been trying to make this for a wile. I had the same ideas as NokiaFX to have to diferent colours on 33xx.
But... there is ay other whay?
