Hello!

Can someone tell mi if it is posible to use Mp3 songs as Ringtones on a 3650?

Mr. gegy,

convert the Mp3 into WAV and then with a cardreader you can upload it to the MMC. Therefore, it's now easy to choose the song as a ringtone

Yes i know this way, but Wav files are much bigger than an Mp3 with same Quallity

I used to think that aswell (eg a standard 4500kb mp3 = 430000kb wav file. estimate) I found dB power amp. I think i got the trial version but it hasnt expired yet and ive done over 10 songs and used it for a month.

Ne way i just changed the format and it converted it to the same size as the mp3 but in wav format, and sounds good! Then i transferred it and PC suite cuts its size down again. My full wavs are bout average 2mb, half the size of ya average mp3.

yeah they change the converters all the time with trial ones. mine called dB power amp, but there is probably newer ones on there now

Hey! I dl the EZ prog but when it converts to wav the size is HUGE! like 40mb! how do I get the size right down?? without loosing the sound quality? if it can be done...

where do u get the card reader from??

im gettin my 3650 tomorrow and wanna no in simple terms everythin i need to get and do step by step to put a wav on my fone

just use cool edit pro 2 and resample the mp to 16000khz and save as gsm 6.1 the size on the wave will be about 700kb ;)

I use PC suite,

Ok install PC suite if you havent already, after that establish a connection with your phone from comp (Infared or bluetooth) and open up pc suite. On the right hand side click File Transfer and PC suite should come up with 2 large Rectangle boxes the top displayin files on your comp and the one below displaying files on your phone.

Find the .wav file you like in the computer files display box. Then in the phone files display box choose Sound files>Digital. Once that is open click back on the .wav file you want to transfer and press the tranferr arrow in the centre of the screen.

This should move the .wav file you have onto your phone. To listen to the file you can either open it in Menu>Extras>Recorder and your .wav file should be there or Profiles>Personalise>Ringingtone.

Also .wav files tend to be larger than midi files and other polyphonics, therefore i find it better to store them on my MMC (memory card) rather than phone menu. Do do this click and open the Sound files folder on the little picture of the MMC not the 3650. Its pretty simple after you do one. Tell us how ya go

okay i go to save it to my memory card and ders no 'sound files' folder just a 'video files' folder?? i tried creatin a new folder and savin it there but my video files folder is located thru the 'images' tab on the fone???

i have no idea.......

go to e: find 'sounds' folder and save your .wav either in the digital or simple.........................................now can i have my i love you too!??......................

okay that actually hasnt helped coz digital and simple sounds is in the phone memory i want to get my sounds onto my memory card

okay then, heres what you are going to do..................format your MMC using your 3650 so it will create back the default folders...............including the sounds folder.........................guaranteed
