Switching from fbus to at

Hi, anybody know how to switch back from FBUS to using AT commands without unplugging the cable (Assuming I have no idea what phone is plugged in)?

I want to be able to autodetect what phone is connected to a datacable using the AT+GMM command (for those phones that support it) but if the phone has already been used for FBUS (also i assume for MBUS) communication while it's been plugged in, the AT commands dont work and I cant find any way to switch it back.
