2100 -> 3610. Possible?

only if you change the flash rom
not just by flashing
2100 only has a 2mb flash rom
3610 has a 4mb flash rom

this is only possable if you are skilled in smd soldering and have access to a smd hot air gun

Thanks a lot. Still have a few questions though.

I/m not that familiar with nokia hardware. Is the 4mb flash in BGA package?

Is it the same as in say.. other nokia models such as 3330 or any other 4mb flash nokias??

How will the wap work?(will it work in the first place) There must be some extra hardware for the wap isnt't it?

If only the flash must be changed, then i think i can pull it off...

I think it won't work. I am not too sure myself if WAP needs specific hardware (it's no GPRS, just WAP) but see this:

A 8250 or 8210 (rom 6) can be flashed to be 2100, it works well after you also changed the LCD. Now, after you also change that RAM chip, will a 8250 (or even 8210) also be able to take a 3610 flash file and WORK??? If so, i think everyone would do it since long........

Honest, i never tried it. It is just my opinion.....

I don't think the wap will work, but thats not what i'm after. I'm after the other functions in the 3610 which is missing in the 2100.. Will that work if i change the flash to 4mb?
