7210 and cheap flasher???

I was just flicking through other forums on the net and was reading a post about cheap dct4 flashers.

The thread was by X-shadow and it said that if I flash my 7210 with a cheap flasher I will loose my java folders and all that stuff!

I have a 7210 and a cheap flasher kit and was also thinking of upgrading my firmware but if I do flash it and I loose these features how do I get them back?? or is there a way round it?

Has anyone flashed a 7210 with the cheap flasher?

u can flash ur 7210 with the cheap dct4 cable with the latest fia but u only can flash the old version cos when u flash the latest version u will lose the java file on ur phone.

What do you mean by old version?
Which versions will workd with the cheap flasher then?

You don't lose any feature its just the contents of the Java wallpapers ringtone etc are deleted if you backup them up with MobileMB then flash you can restore them back or if you have a hex editor you just edit the MCU file and they will not be delete

Trick how to make spesial File :
1. We must have Hex Worskhop
2. Open the MCU with Hex Workshop
3. In the right windows you find word " .......DCT4....DCT4 Algorithm...."
4. Move 5 word to the left n then 4 word to the lef
ex : abcDefgHijklDCT4....DCT4 Algxxxxx"
you will fine the first 5 to left is "H" n the next 4 to left is "D"
5. Know look at the hex value at the "H" and "D"
6. You will find that the value not "00"
7. just Change to "00" at the D and the H
8. Save AS the MCU n replace the original.
9. You will have spesial, flash it to your phone n you won't lose anything.

u can do that at 3510, 3530, 5100, 6100, 6510, 6610, 7210, 7250, 8310, 8910, 8910i
