Would not recommend btw.

Still has the 64 Letter truncated text problem (SMS messages in your inbox are cut off after 64 characters)

It saves all your text as a .dm file which cant be opened with anything but Wordpad and notepad, and it comes out lookin a mess, messages jumbled everywhere.

When i sent an SMS from it, it says in the message on the recipients phone 'Sent with Desktop Message' at the end of the text =/

I retract the 1st and 3rd criticism as i've just found out they're part of the trial/demo limitations...my bad.

Is there a solution to the second prob?

Will the phone be connected at all time, and automaticly synchronize when new messages arrive, or do you have to synchronize manually?

Its an amazing and only full-fledged sms application which lets u send, receive and manage SMS with your desktop PC.

btw....why r u trying to open da msg's in notepad/wordpad?

Da msg's open up just as well in da application itself. Most msg's get jumbled tho due to da 64 char limit in demo version.

Shud work like a beauty, once cracked.

Yup...and much more!

Sync is auto/online.....n u get a pop-up for every new message.

Aint dat amazin?

Its like havin da SMS function of ur fone on ur desktop PC.

Makes all other sms proggie's for da symbian like msgsaver, etc redundant.

SMS'ing will never be da same again.

Now all we need is a CRACK removing da 64 char limit! :p

But i wanna send all my messages on my phone onto my PC...not just view them on my pc. i want them saved as a text file or something useful....thats y i opened with wordpad/notepad.

desktopmessage does it already!

There is an option under file --> Auto Save
Once u check it....all msg's get saved in the application.

U can view/edit them offline on ur PC.

Once u connect ur fone...again u have option to sync.

Dewd....im telling u....they took care of everythin in dis 1! Its a WINNER.

Yeah dude, i need a program like this, n a cracked version.. lol..
At the moment i Use Remote S60 to send messages when i'm using my laptop, n it's really good over a bluetooth link.. So thats an alternative till the cracked version comes out i guess.. I mean you can type faster on your computer than on your cellphone's keypad.. lol

I agree aussie....am doin da same.

But remote s60 is unstable and wont support simple functions like copy/paste.....which is quite a bummer. Even over bluetooth speed is another issue cuz it always waits for da fone to respond.

I'm using an old cracked version of desktopmessages(sadly its still got da 64 char limit...so much for crackin it :p) and seeing it work is exciting.

Last nite....I selectively deleted approx 500 sms in matter of few minutes. Now on da fone it wud have taken ages to do dat.

Cant wait for da CRACK to come out for dis 1!!!
