8210 Blank

Hello All,
my nokia 8210 gets a blank screen occasionally either when I get text or during the startup. The mobile remain on but I don't see anything!
Do you think is a flash problem or what else?

Try to press the nokia logo over the display ... if something appears than You need to clean PCB contacts and the elastomer..or may be to chage it..

Sergi nothing happen, do u reckon is the display to change or other idea???

If it happens when you receive a text message or go into your in box then it's most likely the phone software, added to this the fact that when it goes off and you press on the nokia logo nothing happens I would put my money on the software.

Hi,

Software doesn't just change.

There are several cases, the stored data (thus eeprom only) is not good interpretated by the corresponding mcu functions.

Those I think we call bugs in software.

But such also could happen after upgrading etc...

For repairing this, asif Nokia already knew this, we have the option to restore the phone to factory settings, inside the phones menu structure somewhere.

Try this first, possibly U will loose all Ur logos tones etc.

But like Mr. Sergo said, the 8210 is well known for it's hardware lcd bug, the elastomer connections.

Symptoms are slowly fading away the pixels into a blank screen.

Or totally misplaced texts/ logos, not at the expected locations.

Press softly at the word Nokia and try to see if that does help somehow.

Ifso, better buy Urself a new elastomer.

Just cleaning appeared to me just only a temporarily solution.
