is it just me or cant you connect the n-gage to pc suite with usb??

ive been trying for the last half hour and pc suite wont detect the fone.

i can transfer files to it via windows explorer, but when i load pc suite for the first it says connect your n-gage and press ok.

now i know you need to set usb in the connection manager but it wont detect the fone there, and m router dont even have usb to click on.

my 3650 has no probs connecting via infrared.

And when i tried the trouble shooting there was nothing in there about using usb between the ngage and pc suite, only bluetooth.

give us a hand, its driving me nuts

thanx

hope this isnt too late as ive only just seen this, but have u tried buying a bluetooth dongle? that will connect no problem and is more efficient
and as for the USB, i dont know if its compatible with PC suite, i think its only meant to transfer MP3's etc....unless you do that in PC suite??

any ways ur best bet is buying a bluetooth dongle, i use one with my 7650 and ill be using it with my N-Gage when it arrives

Hope this helps

Murdas right, USB is only for the audio manager function, it can only connect to PC suite via bluetooth. It has my vote for stupidest design feature of all time- they give you a data cable in the sales package for gods sake! A blutooth dongle is the only way to go, although whether its worth the money i dunno. Im in Australia too and I've seen them for about A$90

i agree with it being very stupid designing.

i dont wanna have to buy a blue tooth dongle, oh well, i'll just transfer the sis files to my ngage via windows explorer and install it throught he fone.

that'll do

thanx for the replies

same here, im shocked actually, its like whats the point of having tha cable..... for music and another harddrive transfer stuff only???, neone would have thought that they would have made it cable and bluetooth bcoz the n-gage already lacks IR
