Did you use kazaa or supernova? And how big is the file? I'm not sure if I want to download it or not (I'm only given 4Gb a month to download for free - after that it's 15c per mb), cos I'm downloading the new series of 24. Each episode is over 400Mb, so I'll have to see how I'm fixed for downloads this month. I should be ok, but I don't want to download a 1.5Gb file.

wouldn't download files that big from kazaa too risky at being fakes, ive downloaded both the cam and telesync versions from suprnova.org, but suposedly there is amazing copy on there but in german!! the cam is crap to be honest, but the telesync is rather good for so soon after the release, if you got your limited banwidth i would suggest a pop over to mirc and the tmd channel, their conversions to avi from the vcd format are usually about 200mb per disc maybe smaller (being 2discs), but if i was you i would wait for a good svcd version to be released which im hoing to be over the next fortnight

point me in the right diection for some video editing software and id be happy to do it, needs to be compatible with winxp pro

sure, adobe premiere i believe is the best for Win XP, but very large, so for now i would recommend Camtasia. Do a search for this program, its very useful, some other cool features too. I think you use the Camtasia producer to cut the video, its not too difficult. Once you save it, you can convert to 3gp with the Nokia multimedia converter :).

convert it to rm... It's less buggy and doesn't show "Out of memory" messages like 3gp does...

im on ntfs, the avi is only 688mb to start with ne way the film is 2hrs and im extracting 8mins of it, ill give virtual dub ago in the morning

ive got kazaa but cant say ive used it in a few months, have you had any trouble with getting torrent files off suprnova?? alot of the files im not getting a link and having a bit of trouble, do you know anywhere else which is as good for bittorrent??

i dont understand why camtasia crashes my computer though, running on an atlonxp 2600, 512mb ram 120gb hdd winxp pro, if i can run max payne 2 with out a single skip why does this prog crash my system, very strange

I have only had one problem with supernova and that was with the season premiere of 24. I had the file about 85% downloaded and it was heading for 2 in the morning, so I stopped the download. when I went back the next day and tried to resume, it just said "starting up" and wouldn't go any further, so I had to download it from the start.

What size file is the telesync version of Revolutions that you have? I noticed a telesync version that was between 600mb and 700mb and was wondering what the quality would be like. How is the quality on your file for the size of it? What are the downsides?

I just downloaded the 688 meg one, and i would say that it's decent. Even though it's not nearly as good quality as the reloaded recording, it's good enough to watch from. THere are boxes all over, of course, and the light shifts due to the different framerates. I'm going to download another copy hopefully soon.

virtual dub was great, did the job and was fast and a piece of piss to use, just need to find some where to stick this fight scene now, i got the same telesync as strogg, its the best for file sixe all my friends seem to be impressed with the quality of it

ok multimedia converter keeps freezing at 20% of the pre processing i think the 8.2gb file is too large, so im gonna try something different with the .rm see if i can get the file size smaller

i got hthe 688 meg version on thursday and have converted it (whole movie) to rm for my phone (53mb). the only problem is that no one will host such a big file. What can be done is to split the file up into a whole lot of little rar files like some other yahoo groups did. but that'd take time, and time is somehting i don't have much of.

to split files, you can use winrar. right click the file in win explorer and add to archive. then you can use split to volume on the bottom left to set the size of each file. if you don't want anyone going out of his way to download winrar, you can make it executable, though that'll add a few kb to it, which isn't so bad if you think about it.

sorry for each about 200kb i reduced the size the quality was getting really reall bad!!!, im sorry, if any one else have a setting for helix with smaller size reasonable qual i would be happy to up load another smaller size, but i feel the best results are acieved in the one on my yahoo group

sorry for the long delays; I'm a busy guy and am not always around to post:-p

in the same window with the file splitting, theres a checkbox for making an SFX file. that's what you check for making an exe file. Hope this helps and isn't too late:-p

Well, I finally downloaded it from supernova today. It was the new copy uploaded yesterday (the 15th). Great I thought - Xvid 2 pass. I downloaded it, and opened it in real player. After a couple of minutes, when the first dialouge starts, I realised something was wrong. It's french. I downloaded a fucking French dubbed version of the film.
Ah well, it's only 688Mb of my 4gb allowance wasted. Oh, somebody hates me alright....

if you or anyone gets a "not authorized to view this stupid page", it's because yahoo put a cap on how many people can download the particular file so the bandwidth won't be all hogged. You may want to try again at around 11:45 PM PST when i'm sure everything would be nice and fresh and fast. I'm not sure how the bandwidth capping intervals work (resets once per hour, per day, or what), but I know for sure 11:45 works, since that's when i start downloading stuff every day.

The main problem is yahoo has placed a capped on how many kilobytes you can download per yahoo group.

That's the reason we get different error messages. Opera gives the most accurate error message in this case. IE reports unauthorized while other download managers report File not found.

Those who got lucky to get to it after the cap resets downloads the file.

I'm not one of those lucky ones. =( Up to now still can't get a file.

Hello, leespud if you have a braodband connection, can you do us a favor by mirroring the file on other yahoo group.

Or to anyone who got the files and has broadband connection, kindly create a yahoo group and put the files there so that the others can download too? The more mirror yahoo sites are there, the less congested leespud's group will be. And creating a yahoo group is free... just a few minutes of your time

I got it downloaded yesterday and it's nice, kind
of a jawdropper to show your friends:) I'm now converting
it to avi with one program and then to .3gp in order to
watch it fullscreen with PVPlayer or VideoMMS.

have downloaded all the parts to the fight scene, now what do i do with them? when i try and open the first rar file it asks me for something or other, but when i type in where part 2 is it doesnt want to accept it.
