the best firmware this day`s are firmware 3.16 and it fix alot of bug`s you can check your firmware by click *#0000# you have to go on a nokia service center to upgrade firmware is recommended becouse 1 fail in flashing the phones may be dead forever for your phone 8-)

ow have 2.50 probably the original one? do you mean you have to enter a nokia shop to upgrade? it's probably not free huh?

It's free if the phone is still under warranty. For phones like 3650 and 6600, they will not even bother to check because they're so new.
In Ireland, warranty is 18 months from date of purchase.

here in singapore, if ur fone is under warr, u can upgrade firmware for free. if its not, u haf to pay a little bit.

when u upgrade, rem to backup ur fone, sometimes, they format the fone.
