Hello there, I am a new user, although I have been here for half month.

Today I got a problem, I deleted a file that I need and I don't have backup
Is there any undelete program for series 60?

uh,maybe...if it's(err,it was)on the mmc, with a card reader you can try some pc programs, but i don't think that there is such a thing for the s60....

There is no way to recover deleted files, like on our PCs

If this was possible ur MMC would be full in no-time

<ComputerLesson>in every data storage, there is a TOC,or a similar structure where all the memorized file names are written in association with their first sector.this Table Of Contents let's the cpu find the data the system is requesting, let's say an application or an mp3,that dosen't matter.Do you have ever formatted a floppy disc under windows?there are 2 choices 1)complete format 2)fast format
the differences between them are that the complete format does what it says,it deletes everything and then re-build the file system structures(TOC and other).Instead the fast format is faster because it only deletes and rebuilds the TOC.

wouwz maybe has thinked about a system functionality to restore data like window's bin that is ONLY another directory poorly hidden under win 98 that contains all the data you deleted using the del key,or the option in the context menu.that is not deleting, that is hiding.like when you put the dust under a carpet.

coming back on the file restore, all the os(generally)deletes only the TOC entry for the file you have deleted so you just think that the file is gone, but it's still on the hard disk(or floppy, mmc, ecc)only the file system dosen't know it so the space it could be used for another file. The so called file shredder deletes the TOC entry, the sectors used by the file and then it overwrites them with casual data.

so,if you put your mmc into a mmc reader, and you don't have savend anything on the mmc after the cancellation, with the right program....your files will be magically back. this also becuse the 3650 uses mmc formatted in fat12 or fat16.

in that case...you are really in trouble.every start of the os reads and writes a bit of things and due tho the TOC thing...if you don't find a recover program really fast... i fear that your deleted data is doomed.
