Looks like my group is on it's way out......
This is the email I got from Yahoo:
"Dear Yahoo! account holder:
By creating and using your Yahoo! account, you agree to abide by
Yahoo!'s Terms of Service (TOS). Pursuant to the TOS, Yahoo! reserves
the right to terminate your account or otherwise prohibit use of your
account in the event that, among other things, Yahoo! believes that you
have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the
TOS.
It has come to our attention that you may have violated the TOS.
Please reread the TOS and cease any use of your account that may
violate the TOS.
If your use of your Yahoo! account is brought to our attention again,
and we believe that such use violates the TOS, then we may terminate
your account without further notice."
Any ideas on what to do?

It might be getting closed down because of all the warez on it. If it's shut down, then I'm gonna make a website.
Can anyone recommend a good, free web hosting service?

i've been wondering why use all use that crappy yahoo anyway :P
but check here http://www.thefreesite.com/Free_Web_Space/
maybe you'll find something better. Or does your isp give you webspace? They usually do, i think..
most free hosting services also have download limits... what you *could* do, if you're on broadband, is have your own site up @ home.. using dynamic dns servers to point toy uor home addie eg you.dyndns.org
there's many tutorials out there to get an apache server and ftp server up...

hmmm if you get toasted by yahoo do what yuppo did, and just restart the website under a different name, thats if you have a bit of time to upload evrything again also adsl. Not only will the forum users be proud of you for hostin another great site, but it'll piss off yahoo and force them to send another email a few weeks/months down the track

Well, I registered for free web space and the domain name. When my group is eventually closed, I will upload the files to my website:
www.spliffology.tk
100Mb bandwith, unlimited bandwith and no file size limit.

yeah, truely nice :) though www.quake3000.tk never worked for me , keeps telling me "Exceeded bandwidth limit" ;l
hmm.. another good way, "so u guys wouldn't have the limit problem"
to get an email at gawab.com or email.si , they have 10 MB space.
i'd usually send myself attached emails. and then give my cousin the password. he'd open the email and download whatever he wants.
email.si can send attachment up to 4 mbs. if not more, and also can recieve alot
its just a suggestion.
cuz i've been trying to access 90% of the yahoo groups. as well as quake3000.tk and i can't download any files, temporary unavailable ;l

"Dear Yahoo! account holder:

Yes, but I'll have to upload all the files again, which (If I'm going to do) I might as well upload to a website. I registered for web space with 1ASPHost. That's another reason why I want to create a website. The site I registered with give you 100mb webspace and unlimited bandwith, not to mention no file size limit. Unlimited bandwith.......no more "404 forbidden" messages.
