View Full Version : If u have probs with Eyecon read it...

Earlier in this forum I was askiing for help coz I had problems with eye converter.Finally I spent the night looking for the apps and testing them, making all the possible combinations.

I used:
a)ETI camcorder v1.0 (beta version)
b)ETI camcorder v1.01 (full)
c)EYECON v1.01 (nub2)
d)EYECON v1.0 (nub)

The results are the following:
(a)+(c): video image is upside down.
(a)+(d): I got an error message from eyecon and couldn't convert it.
(b)+(d): error message again.
(b)+(c): everything is fine!

I did it once more, using both codecs this time.The results were the same as above.Seems like Eyecon v1.0 doesn't work at all! Or at least in my pc (I use win2000). I hope that thread helped ppl having prob like I did.If someone has dif opinion plz reply...

ok my problem is ive got eyecon v1.1 neither 1.0 or 1.01 andi can convert beta file perfect but the v1.0 of eti i cant convert, wats goin on here?

I've searched in TOO many sites looking for these.These days I don't have free time to look back again (coz I don't remember exactly where I found them).In http://s60island.dyndns.org/ you can find the other versions, and if you want, I can send my files in your email.Sorry if I can't help more...

hey dude ive got the progs now, im getting an error with videos from newest version of eti and v1.01 of eyecon saying about no ear file or eye is corrupted, i have tried re-naming them differently making sure ear and eye have same name when i do this the app says succeful but the avi is absolutely no where to be found!!!!! annoying now!!! all my old vids recorded with the beta version i have converted no prob its all my latest ones with the retail version, ahy ideas???

What do you mean "beta file"? Files are being created by ETIcamcorder and the only ETI (beta version) I know, is the app I used in the test.So if you can't convert it, then it's PROBABLY because the converter isn't compatible with the EyeCon you have.Don't forget it's a "beta" version and I had problems as well.

i have converted file produced by the beta eti but having trouble with the retail eti

Just tell me the exact versions of the apps you use. The message "your file maybe is corrupt" is the error message I was getting, but your files are DEFINITELY fine.Try to use the apps I used in my test.In case you have probs again, just uninstall the EyeCon, remove the codec from "control panel" and then install them both again.Maybe it sounds silly, but it's exactly what I did and it worked! Seems like is not "stable". I just hope the guys who work in these groups, to release sth compatible and stable soon.

ur combination for me, works as an upside-down playback and with mine u get an error msg.It's really weird.I suggest to keep ur combination (coz it works) and to wait till a newer version (hopefully with no probs) ;-)

wen you saiod uninstall it how do i make sure i uninstall all the components???

the eyecon v1.01 i use, doesn't have an "installation" procedure.i just extract the files from the zip file.so i delete the folder and i remove the codec from "add/remove programs".it's the only thing u find there.finally i reboot my pc.

PS the funny thing is the readme file included in the eyecon v1.0 says the app is for the new ETI v1.0 (not beta)! :-p

I know how u feel.Sometimes it really pisses me off.Follow my advice, roll a puf-puf give(!), and relaaaax..... 8-)

install both nub codecs from both version you get the video up all the time!!!!! but still cant convert vids from my pro version of eti which most of my vids are produced using very annoying

use the ETI (beta version) then...u told me that it was working.Anyway don't expect much from it.Is just a mobile, and the video feature is still new (i think) in the market.Give them some time, to improve their apps!

I made 3 movies with ETI camcorder v1.0 (beta version)

is there ANYWAY to convert them into a readable format on windows? Could someone do it for me maybe? I have had no luck!
