View Full Version : N-gage battery usage length is terrible!!!

The battery time for my N-gage is terrible! i had the n6800 and i would charge it every 2 days. but with my n-gage i have to charge it twice a day! do you guys with symbian phones have to do this too? what is up with these phones? is it the larger screens sucking up the battery?

Well, with my 3650, i'm charging it almost like every day. It depends on how often u use ur applications. Playing games and stuffs sucks up ur battery pretty much. I guess it's just as bad on the n-gage with the gaming in 3d and mp3 playing and stuffs. Btw, i'm thinking of getting a 2nd battery as a spare. I hate it when the phone goes battery low while playing games in the train. Lol!!!

Yeah i rekon my 3650 consumes less power than my N-gage even in standby mode.... The n-gage seems to fully chug all the power (bluetooth off) and no apps runnin, im probably wrong technically, but that seems the case with my phones. Or it could just be that the battery in my N-Gage at the moment was originally from my 3650, which only just had its 5month birthday. Maybe the battery is startin to wear and tear.

As with the 6800, well when i had my 7210, that used to be absolutely awesome with stand by times, you can get a quite few days if you dont thrash it.

well, i had to charge my fone 1 or 2 times a day, but tts because im playing mp3, playing games alot. if u want it to last, dun play games and mp3 for too long or too often. or even get a spare batt.

it's not safe to use conterfight batterys as there have been stories of fake batterys exploding and melting and damaging the phone becuase components such as temp sensors and circutary are missing to save cost. This is why i have gone for some genuine betterys even tough they are much more expensive i dont want a £5 battery damaging my £200 phone.
