Just incase any of you are computer friendly. I have been having problems with my new ATI Radeon 7000 Graphics Card.

I installed it into my XP system and every time I turned the machine on it would come up with the Windows XP splash screen but just as it is about to switch into Windows the computer Restarts.

I have now formatted the machine and Re-Installed XP with the Graphics Card in the machine. The Computer now loads up into windows but after a few mins comes up with "Windows has recovered from a Serious Error" and the Display ends up really crap running at a low 4bit.

I have tried 2 of these graphics cards with no luck. I have also done the following:

* BIOS Update
* Mainboard Chipset Driver Update
* Graphics Card Driver Update
* Windows Update

Tried adjusting every setting in the BIOS and also resetting BIOS to Factory Settings.

Im not having much luck just wondering if anyone can assist me.

I think it just a little conflict error all you need to do is take your sound card out give the contacts a clean with some kind of anti static wipes and put it back together make sure you push in the card fully you should hear a click once you card is in and it should work (might need to reinstall xpas well)

In case it's not a hardware problem...

Have you tried using another OS instead of WindowsXP?

Or if you can at least get into Windows XP with a crap display, can you then try to update drivers?
