AAC and MP3

i was wondering how much smaller is a AAC compared to MP3 of same bilrate? i tried converting on iTunes and file sizes are very similar!!

If they arent that small i will stick with music videos as a whole music video is about 2.5 mb.

please point me in the right direction

have you got nokia audio manager this converts to aac so you could then see what the difference is.

At the same bitrate aac produces a better quality audio file, i've found that 80kbps aac's sound just as good as 96kbps mp3's. Hope this helps??

well, y not .wav format? same quality as mp3, half of the size. can onli be converted via 3650 pc suite.

i guess 64kps aac would offer similar quality to 96kps already

the bad thing about aac is that many programs cannot play it
winamp need a plugin to play it
and there are many aac variations now, they are not compatable but use the same extension

nope. audio manager are for fones tt are supposed to b able to play mp3, and normally comes wif a usb cable.
