hi i am using nokia Hs-3W BT headset for my 6600 very good very loud infact, first connect the headset through the phone, then set authoris to the headset, next time all you need is just to turn ON the headset and it should connect to your defult phone automaticatlly, this is the best way to connect.

But the sad part is when you use handfree the phone will not ring when there's a incoming call only the headset will ring.

any more question can email me or call +65 97604413 I'll try to help you if i can

Nokia bluetooth ring only in the headset, but even with wire headset you'll have the same, what a shame I can't stay for all day with hear plugged. How is possible to solve. Any additional add on's ?

the range is bad 10m only apply when there are no blockage, no walls to block the connection, I'll give it a 2m range, within 2m is of good connection, is really loud headset man, but nokia 60 serious when handfree only headset ring will not both ring so sad

Maybe it wasnt paired properly, I wud try it once again b4 I write off da HBH-60.

Nokia headsets r way too bulky and look sad IMO.

I almost got jabra for all da reasons u mentioned until I read some horror stories and major problems wid pairing da device wid N3650 and other symbian fones.

But I hear they have come out with a new version for da N3650 and symbian. I hope these issues have been taken care off in da newer version.

cheers!

Majority of phones are class one bluetooth devices so only have a max range of 10-15m

Be a while before the batterys and phones will move to group class 2 (50m+) and they prob wont bother as the idea of mobile bluetooth is to connect to devices nearby (the mobile is designed to be taken not left) its not designed to bluejack someone from half a mile away or make allow you to answer your mobile 100m away. Only benifit of having phones I can think of right now with a bigger range is mobile gaming play someone in a train a few carrages down you dont know em you just search and join lol

To be honest a handsfree is to be used in close proximity to the phone 2-10m is more than enougth their not rearlly designed for allowing you to make calls 50m away from base thats the whole point of a mobile phone!

Plus in order to increase the range BOTH devices will need to have the range so if you have a phone with a 100m range but a headset with only a 10 its still only going to give a 10m range so have you considered the posibility that its the headset and not your 6600 thats got bad bluetooth range?

If you start making headsets with class2 and class3 specs then there going to output more power and use more battery.

Yea!! This really s@#ks. I wonder what the engineers at Nokia were thinking on when they made that decision.
I have posted this to Nokia support...

Guys,

I have just bought the 'Bluetrek 1.2' Bluetooth handsfree from E-Bay but I just cannot make it work 100%!!

The handsfree pairs successfully with my Nokia 6600, and on the main screen, near the bluetooth icon, the handsfree icon appears.

I manage to disconnect calls with the handsfree but no sound is heard from the earphone other than a hum.

Anyone has this kind of handsfree or know someone who managed to make it work.

The link of the handsfree is: http://www.bluetrek.com/bluetrek/bluetrek1.2.htm

I know that there has been known issues with Nokia and 3rd party Bluetooth products.
Don’t know if this is the case, maybe you should post an e-mail to Bluetreks support describing your problem.

can anyone tell me whether the following bluetooth headsets would work with my nokia 6600 (handsfree profile):
1) Motorola HS810
2) Jabra BT200
3) SonyEricsson HBH 65
4) V3

I own a HDW-2 Headset, but on www.mobileburn.com ... i have ready a few articles on various bluetooth headsets. all came out with different results

Nokia was good on sound quality, but the inner fan was too loud
Jabra was good on bluetooth, and compatibility with older handsets
Sony Ericsson was good on microphone or something

I dunno. Every headset has its own ups and downs. I chose Nokia, otherwise I'd look like an idiot with a Nokia 6600 and paired SE BT Headset ...

I use the Motorola HS810 with my 6600 and all the functions work fine, battery life is good too. My only slight problem is when the earpeice volume is very high it distorts the sound a bit, but nothing to major. (Was fed up of the Nokia HDW-2's going wrong!)

I dont know why people dont like the bluetooth headsets that have wires. Its the long wire that bugs me and you dont look like stupid wearing it.

Anyways, anyone used the HBH-200 with the 6600??

Im thinking of getting this or the Nokia HS-3W.

Any suggestions? I also dont mind the HBH-65 as its quite small and stylish.
