Altering the ppm of the 3330

My problem is this:
I want to change the tones of my 3330.

Here's what I do (i use ppm manager):
1) Import a new tone chunk to the mcu+ppm file.
2) Update all ppm CRCs.
3) Flash the phone.
4) Update FAID.
The result is no signal, no sounds, restart.

What am I doing wrong? I'm following exactly the same process for changing anything in my 3310/15.

i think you can only modify 3330 v4.16 and below. 8-)

Why? What's so special about v4.50 and we can't modify it?

Hi,

I think it was not Ur fault.
This happens on 3310-503/513 & 3330-430/450.

The difference is the bad Flash check calc.
Resulting in bad faid nr calc.

The latest versions of 3310/15 can be modified. Why is the flash check calc wrong on these versions?
