nokia 3310 v5.57B MCU + PPM pack can this be customized and then still get signal?

i was wondering can you customize this flash file? as in like so that when you have changed the ringtone will it still get signal after once its flashed back to the fone???? plz can someone tell me if it will or is this like the 3330 v4.30 and 3330 v4.50 files? thx

plz only reply if you have done this and tried coz i havent got a 3310 yet but want to make a file for my dad but aint seeing him till tommoz thx.

You can do it whatever you want. Just open the MCU+PPM file (without the EEPROM; it should be about 3,31MBytes) with PPM Manager and, after you make changes, select Tools\Update all PPM CRCs and save.
Then, flash the phone and update FAID.
You're done! I've done it a million times, when I was still learning about these stuff.. And I still do it... Always successfully. I haven't done it, though, with the 3330. I'm having the problems you have.

ever customized the 5.57 version? and get signal after?

with new 3330 version the top 2 you get no signal after even when upfdating the faid

m8 use v4.16 for the 3330 ul lget signal ;) ive done it.

i just want to know if the v5.57 is the same as the new 3330 s/w version or not with that extra checksum in?

if it aint then fine.

i know u cang customize v5.55 but i want the new s/w versions :) plz reply if you have personaly done it tov5.57 and know it works thx.

use v4.16 for the 3330 works 100% ive done it :)

Well, wouldn't it be better if we could customize v4.50, too?
