Yes I have the CD thx I just installed all programs again.
Found on this fantastiq forum how to format. There's one thing which was not clear. In the how-to there I was told to "reboot". Don't seem to know how that has to be done. So I pulled out the battery.
But after format he seems to be stuck alot? Anyone who know how I could fix this? Is there a patch or update necessary? Or do you guys just reboot in this case?
Thx

If u don't have apps called appman/taskman/restart, yes u can reboot that way.

R u sure installed the right soft version for ur commy after formating?
Installing Nokia Software.
You need to find out what version is your communicator.
To find out the version press *#0000# in the front keypad.
It will display your version.
But getting the latest version is a good option.
yeah, post here the version of your filmaware of your commy.
i have found good things to http://www.cyberlie.com forum , too.
explains some tricks for fast rebooting and how the commy works faster

Hi, i had my commy reformatted so many times already coz some progs that i installed had some conflict with other files and eventually my commy buged down.
Now, i'm thinking that with all the things that i've done with reformating, installing, uninstalling files, is there a way to defrag it just like the pc? also is there a way to defrag the memory card, what attachment and program do i have to use?
Thank you very much in advance.

There are no apps yet able to defrag the commy's memory. So choose to install apps to the memory card. Doing this u have two benefits:
1. save space on ur commy
2. u don't have to re-install all the apps after re-formating
To defrag the memory card, use "7-1" usb card reader. U can defrag it using standard windows or norton speed disk.
Hope this help.

The standard file manager can be found in your package CD or you can download from nokia.com. If you do not want to reinstall the All_Nokia_*.sis (consists of all standard programs) and if you have N9210i with firmware V.5.33/5.34, you can get the file manager separately from this link (http://www.nokia.com/cda1/0,1080,4913,00.html).
The other usefull file manager software is called 'redshift commander' and can be downloaded from www.cyberlie.com.
