Changing Operator Logo N-gage?

Hello,
I cant seem to change my opp logo on my n-gage.
i have tried seleq and it made a new folder in apps - phone - oplogo
but when i try and set it as a opp logo it resets the phone and come back up with the good old o2-uk logo.

can anyone help?

im having exact same problem same network too, funny ill try my virgin, orange and vodafone sims see wat happens

i used fexplorer with a jpeg fie set as op logo then the phone started to reset but then locked so took out battery and replaced starten phone and new logo appeared my version is the same as yours and ibought it sim free.

my firmeware is the same, yea, maybe its the gif/jpg format tts y it wun work.

Nope still nothing.

Can you please tell me what you did step by step. As i cant seem to get it working. Just before the phone resets it says 'Set logo done' but nothing happens!

fist of all i made a pic using paint with my name using font size 72 (could be bigger but have only just statred messing about with op logo) then sent it via bluetooth, then on the phone opened message then saved message to device memory. next open fexplorer select c then select nokia then images themn fe_img then highlight the file that u sent then press options then select file then set as op logo then phone says system reboot press yes then it says logo has been set then restarts and then logo appears.

How many pixels was the size of the logo?

Im using 97x25 pixels.

And its colour if that makes any difference.

the last one i sent was 175x50 and it was colour and a gif, try getting another fexplorer.

ok ive tried, system tools, fexplorer, seleQ, opman

all with bitmap, j-peg and giff files

none show up in the space my operator logo is!!!

but i noticed with opman the last logo i attempted was already said to be logo by it!!! so these programs are setting up logos they just arent showing in the riht place!!!!!1

can i ask the people who arent getting logos where they got thier phone from? was it locked to a network?? have you unlocked it? maybe networks have put a restriction on???

Im having the same problem and it says that the opp logo is there but the o2-uk logo is still there.
I got mine from www.bestphonedeal.co.uk
It was locked to orange till I unlocked it and is now on o2 uk.

shit well the website is based in my towncentre, they are my nokia service centre it looks like i am goin to have to go speak to them which code did you use to unlock out of 1-7??

i cant get there till the weekend, i unlocked mine with code 7 from the unlocking part of nokiafree, oh well just have to wait to see what my service centre say, you could always try ringingthe number on the website i cant do that today i havent got time but if you want to they dont close till 5.30

I gave best phone deal a ring and they didnt give me any help what so ever. They said contact orange for more questions.

i bought mine sim free but it came with an virgin pay as u go, ive changed the logo on booth my orange pay monthly and the virgin card because i orginally changed orange logo then when i put the virgin card in the virgin logo came up and not the one i had saved so can only think it has somthingto do with the sim.

No i just tried my virgin and orange pay as u go sims and no difference.

guys, i managed to change the logo but the old one still appears for about 2 secs before changing to the new one every time i turn the phone on or exit a menu.

is this normal? is there a way to get rid of the original logo?

Why dont you try using op man. jus install it on your phone. you'll figure out the rest. its designed for changing logos.

ive tried with orange(originalsimcard) o2, virgin and vodafone none of them display the logo i choose!!!!!! it smells, im guessim mybe a firmware upgrade will fix it but if its the "oragnge" preset setting buggering it up i recon just another flash with the current firmware will fix it wat do you people think??

solved it at last!!! try renaming the file in c\system\app\phone\oplogo to .mbm and restart if tha dont work go to www.cbfmobile.com, get a random logo just costs a single msg as they ask to confrim your number, set that logo as your logo restart you should have a logo, now you to that directory again and rename the file you want to be logo .mm overiting the one that is the logo and there you should have your logo at last

for all of you guys, just use psiloc system tools, like me, and it will work 100% sure.

go to a site were u can get logo's, right click and do save as. THen put it on your mmc and put it in the IMAGES folder, open feXPLORER and then go to the logo, click it and go file/set as aparator logo, if u wanna get rid of this logo, go to your phone memory, look for a folder ok wait just go like this: C/system/apps/ and look for a folder called fone... simply delete this folder, restart the phone and no more logo, to get another logo, do as said up...if it dont work, 2 bad cuz it worked for my n-gage

I have changed oplogos on both 6600 and ngage with just FExplorer,copy the BMP of the logo you want ,the size is 97x25 ,copy it to your mmc card in your ngage or send it to ms in the 6600.
now open FExplorer and go to the folder or card where the logo is.
now select and cut the file from the directory, and goto c:/system/apps/phone/oplogo/
here you will find a file named in a series of numbers.
rename this file (its your op logo original) so you dont lose it. now paste the new logo and rename it to the old one you just changed.
ie 502-0-2.bmp, restart the phone
this is the same directory for 6600.
to reset the old logo just rname it and remove or name the old one....
