Would som kind soul please write a short guide on how you reduce MP3's to mono and cut the size down to less then 1mb per file?
Please explain what tools you use etc.
I'm sure we'd all find it extremely useful.
Cheers

the simplest way to do ur task is by using " Streambox Ripper"
just run the software, drag the mp3 file and drop it to the main window. click convert, choose sampling rate of 8kbps, and select "mono" for the channel.
set output to "mp3" option.
its very simple to use.
hope u enjoy ur mp3s.

Firstly i'd like to thank you guys on the useful posts. I'm not sure for the converting part. Whats the difference between sampling rate and Bit rate, and will there be any problems if i leave it stereo? I was told to have the sampling rate at 8khz and others say bit rate 64. I'm kind of confused. Pls help!
