Question on update at nokiacare

I just sent my nokia 3650 handphone to nokiacare for the software update. They say they would format the phone memory.


I only made a backup of the phone memory in the memory card.

My question is whether the upgrade is done on the rom or the phone memory.

And whether restoring the backup would undo the update and possibly spoil my handphone OS.

before u take it .. uninstall ur apps ...

then after u get it back .. you will have to re-install ur apps .. games ...

etc ...

when i had my 3650 upgraded ... i did not un0install the apps .... and when i got it back .. the apps were still on the mmc card .. BUT the ICONS were all gone .... i had to delete the folders from the mmc and re-install everything ....


and also redo the settings on the camera .. video recorder .. etc ...

nope. it wont.

everything in ur fone will be deleted, but ur mmc wun be formatted. so, backup all the stuff on ur fone, take out ur mmc, and let them flash it. after tt, some app on ur mmc might not work, to get it to work, reinstall the app, so it shows in the default filemanager. all the icons of app and games will be in the root dir when u get it back, take ur time to sort it all back. hehe.
