is there an app that you can have a video as a start up for when you turn the fone on??
i think it can be done on the p800 but i wondered if it can be done on a 3650?

there was a thread like tis months back, askin for a ngage start up, i gorgot the outcome, but i dun tink it works, or anyone managed to change it, prove me wrong thou, as its a good idea.

Since the startup Nokia hands started being put on mobiles, its never been possible to change it on any phone with it.

I believe its because its written on the phone and not editable? Could be wrong though!

well, i can change my 8310's start up logo, mayb it can b changed, but for now, i dun noe anyway to.

Yeah you could change startup logo with Logomanager, but not on series 60 phones as far as I'm aware.

What I mean't was a lot of people have always asked if its possible to put a different animation instead of the hands - this as far as I'm aware has never been possible. A static image yes, a moving image no.

well, unless someone creates an app tt plays gif files on start up... otherwise, i cant see any way to change it.

I'm sure from my alt.cellular.nokia days, it was banging around that its impossible because its written direct to the phones EEPROM or something like that! I can't remember now, and I'm not that good with electronics inside lol

If so, then it's impossible without some sort of equipment.
ELECTRICALLY Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory. It can only be programmed or erased electronically.

personally, for my fone, i dun tink playing a video is useful.... my fone is nv off anyway, hehe.

haha, not like there are any ELECTRONIC componants in a phone... the eeprom can be flashed with another rom... im sure there are some apps that will rip the firmware thats there to a rom, and u could edit it and re flash it

Edit the firmware and program it using your phone? I don't think so.
IS the chip inside the 3650 EPROM or EEPROM?

i think the start logo is saved on the ram on the fone. Z drive most likely but could also be on the c:.

I'm guessing the Z drive too, and that's the ROM, not the RAM.

God, this is after getting very technical all of a sudden, hasn't it? Let's all go and smoke drugs to calm us down.
