Hey Guys,
I’ve had my 6600 for a while now and no problems what so ever. The thing is, my father bought himself a 6600 1 week ago and the phone is always rebooting itself. (The phones software version is V3.42.1) The phone is just on the table with nobody touching it and it will just start to reboot itself. Just now when I tried to retrieve the software version by typing *#0000# the phone rebooted itself. I’ve tried reformatting the unit by typing *#7370# and it formatted the phone no problem, only thing is the problem with the phone rebooting itself is still there.
I really love my 6600 and like I said I have not had 1 single problem with my unit. Just wondering what is wrong with the unit my father bought and if anyone has an idea how I can help him fix his unit other than taking it back to Nokia.
Thanks in advance guys,
GreaseMan

Sounds like one from a dodgy batch mate, definitely take it back or at least have a Nokia Service Centre take a look at it.
I'e had mine for a few weeks now and no such problems.

Mine says : Already in use
Kinda odd but i'm sure it's just a Software program, must be Screensaver or sumptin

Has anyone found a solution to the "infrared/bluetooth message refusing to delete because it's still in use" problem?

No problem with dust under the screen. Update firmware, there are shops around my place that does it for 500 pesos or 7 euro only, but as of today nobody has an upgrade yet. Wouldn't know how to update firmware myself at home. I'm just guessing but I would suspect they would use a CABLE when update firmware.
Just so you guys know, they are selling 6600's here in Philippines for approx 24,000 - 25,000 pesos each Open Unit. That works out to about 358 - 373 euro each.
As far as my fathers 6600, I'm going to take it to Nokia Service Center now and see what they can do, I hope they can fix it.
