Help with 6600 and orange please!!!!

Have got a Nokia 6600 with a Orange PAYG sim card. The phone works fine apart from every so often the phone says "sim card registration failed" and the orange network go's from the display. It was like this for about 4 hours then just came back after messing around with only to go again about 4 hours later.

The phone works fine with a Vodaphone sim

Any ideas please?

Can't give you a good solution but the best i can come up with is don't use an orange sim cos this phone ain't gonna be released on orange till jan at least, personally i don't think orange will release it but a lot of orange services arent compatible with the 6600 this is the best explanation i can come up with

My sim is Orange and i dont want to swop, i use my number with work

I suppose i will have to sell it :-(

did you buy the phone sim free ? if so should work, if not prehaps another unlock code is required.

It wasnt sim free but is unlocked, it seems like a problem with the phone not the provider (my mates contract sim on Orange worked fine in it)
