It never gives me a message alert tone on any profile! There's no sound, or even popping up of the message x message(s) received but the envelope icon just appears.

This is very strange. I don't know if even calls doesn't get through.

There is a midi file set in the message alert tone and ringing is on the call alert.

Should I reformat the phone? I don't know what wrong but I only have 3 apps - Ringtone Studio, Fexplorer and Smart VCard.

Another thing is sometimes when doing certain operations like transferring messages to My Folders, this message appears: 'Cannot complete write to disk' - anyone knows what this means?

Thanks in advance.

Well seeming as you've got nothing to lose i suggest you go for a format man, and then see if everything's ok, else maybe you shd head to a NSC (Nokia Service Centre) or something mate..

Thanks! A format did the job. But I remember that I backupped the data in the phone memory via Memory's Backup phone memory. When I restored it, the same problem occured again - it doesn't give me alerts on SMS received. This means I musn't use the backupped data on the MMC and should start from scratch. Good thing there's Smart VCard that backupped my contacts.

Still haven't figured out the problem of 'Cannot complete wrtie to disk'

Thanks again!

Ok here then, type in the standby screen *#7370#

Rmbr that you will loose all DATA that's stored on your PHONE's memory, the MMC is secure.
