nokia 3310 no volume

hi, wondered if someone out there could help, have a nokia 3310 with very little volume, can just about hear person on other end also keypad tones very quiet, have tried reflashing but no difference, everything else ok ringtones etc.

It's caused by iron filings clinging to the magnetic speaker.

To get at it to clean it properly you'll need to remove the six tiny screws holding the face plate in place, then gently prize the speaker out of housing and clean the filings off with a soft brush or cloth.

It's quite a delicate operation and of course you'll need a precision screw driver to deal with the screws.

hi, thanks for that but have changed complete lcd which includes speaker but it makes no difference
